Tuesday, Three Favourite Things About the UK
Sure I do the occasional complaining about everything from the dull weather, to the weird separate hot & cold taps and the painful costs of public transport. But there are tons of things I do love about this country. Kicking off with … August Bank Holiday Most countries’ public holidays…
seven places to walk to this weekend
Happy (almost) weekend! Aside from the usual house chores, a good book I’m dying to finish and a few things from this list, there is one other thing that I will be doing: going out for my daily breath of fresh air. My choices for this week are the coffee…
Pit Stop in The Netherlands – Tea Time!
It’s adventure time … just kidding, it’s Tea Time. The d-listed post where I share some lost and badly lit images that my phone saw through its tiny camera eye.
Less Awesome Things I’ve Seen & Done in Berlin
Before I talk about more of the awesome things I did in Berlin, I want to take a look at the less awesome or disappointing things I’ve done, because everyone runs across those. Just the things that weren’t for me. If you are a frequent reader you might have noticed…
Will 2018 Be The Year I Visit These Destinations?
Though we all want to snuggle up with presents and cheesy Netflix Christmas fare (I’m looking at you Mariah Carey’s Merriest Christmas) I’ve put down the cocoa and decorations to put on my blogger hat and gather up some of the top destinations I’m planning on heading to next year….

Wherever you are visiting in the world, there is always somewhere you can go where you will find great things to do for free. I’ve written about such places in cities both cheap and expensive, and now it’s the turn of Wrocław in Poland. Here’s your first free experience before…
Love this post!!! I have to agree with number one “seeing the sunrise,” that is always a special, important experience for me wherever I travel… it grounds you and helps you realize however different or foreign the place we find ourselves in the familiarity of dawn and the beginning of a new day affects us all.
I also love hearing other travelers’ stories…those forever will be some of my best memories abroad.

Great list! Good reminder that sometimes the little things make a world of a difference.
This reminds me so much when we went backpacking on Southeast Asia! How I miss traveling!
Travel sure makes one feel grateful for the little things, huh?
It’s JPei
And it also makes the little things grateful for travel 😀
Love the feeling of getting off the plane!
I love this idea. It’s so true. Travel itself is such a magical experience. You have to remember all the little moments. A night alone in a 12 bed hostel is a luxury! :] // itsCarmen.com ☼ ☯
you are right the best things in travel are free
Gaining a beautiful sunrise oh yes, I normally photograph these. An upgrade on a flight never managed it but well done, on a ten hour flight even better. I flew on my birthday and still it didn’t happen. Enjoyed reading this post Lucy x
Such a great list! All these things are awesome, expecially the snore free hostel room!
Ah man this makes me want to go travelling so bad. Great post, as always. xx
