9 Things I’m Leaving Behind In 2019
It’s that time of the year when I share everything I’m leaving behind in 2019, so goodbye to: 1. Unnecessary food waste is something I’ve found myself guilty of and I want to change that. In October and November I found the right routine and shopping list for me, but…
my new year’s eve around the world
Atop a mountain in Austria During the 2007/2008 winter season I worked in a holiday park in central Austria and together with the other holiday people we enjoyed amazing fireworks and the whole mountain became an open-air party. People also give each other little pigs made of marzipan which symbolise…

I have to agree with number one “seeing the sunrise,” that is always a special, important experience for me wherever I travel… it grounds you and helps you realize however different or foreign the place we find ourselves in the familiarity of dawn and the beginning of a new day affects us all.
I also love hearing other travelers’ stories…those forever will be some of my best memories abroad.

This reminds me so much when we went backpacking on Southeast Asia! How I miss traveling!
Travel sure makes one feel grateful for the little things, huh?
It’s JPei

Love the feeling of getting off the plane!
I love this idea. It’s so true. Travel itself is such a magical experience. You have to remember all the little moments. A night alone in a 12 bed hostel is a luxury! :] // itsCarmen.com ☼ ☯
you are right the best things in travel are free
Gaining a beautiful sunrise oh yes, I normally photograph these. An upgrade on a flight never managed it but well done, on a ten hour flight even better. I flew on my birthday and still it didn’t happen. Enjoyed reading this post Lucy x
Such a great list! All these things are awesome, expecially the snore free hostel room!
Ah man this makes me want to go travelling so bad. Great post, as always. xx

Yup! Ironically, travel showed me how to enjoy the little, free things in life, and how to cherish moments we often take for granted while at home. Great post.
