Lomo Love: the failed Melbourne film

The thing with analog photography is that you never know how it’s going to turn out. When I picked up the photos I took with the Lomo Holga I was disappointed to find all of them turned out like this …

  1. It happens. Sometimes the quality of the film is under par. I had a similar experience when I visited LA & all the photos had 2 halves of 2 photos due to some weird glitch in the film.

  2. Haha, well it’s sort of ‘arty’. Love that you’re experimenting with analog though. I have an old camera here at home that I still haven’t used yet.

  3. How disappointing! At least it wasn’t a complete waste, the fuzziness gives the photos a “dreamy” or ethereal vibe. I kind of like them!

  5. Gelukkig kan je wel nog iets zien! Analoge fotografie is steeds een verrassing he. Niet dat ik zo’n expert ben maar ik nam mijn analoog toestel mee naar Berlijn vorig jaar en toen waren er zo’n 5 foto’s helemaal mislukt. Beetje zoeken en proberen dus!

  6. I recently received a Canon AE-1 as a gift and took it to Barcelona with me last weekend. I’m absolutely terrified to get the prints developed! Haha I think these ones are beautiful in their own way though!
