This Christmas will see a bespoke collaboration between two iconic brands as London department store, Liberty decorates acclaimed Mayfair bar, Mr Foggs in true festive style.
Founded in 1874 by Arthur Liberty, Liberty is the perfect partner for Mr Foggs, which is based on the drawing room of Jules Vernes most famous adventurer, Phileas Fogg, in his 1873 novel, Around the World in 80 Days. From the moment they arrive, guests will be taken on a journey through time, into the heart of a truly Victorian Christmas.
Liberty have brought Christmas to Mr Foggs period drawing room, already laden with artifacts collected from his travels, with eye-catching features including handmade golden paper chains adorning the ceiling and placed in shimmering garlands around the bars signature hanging birdcages hat lamps and entrance, and green garlands adorning the shelves. Mr Foggs cheerful fireplace welcomes any weary traveller to its hearth, and Liberty have made it even more inviting with a green garland decorated in copper animals and copper rope. The bar will also feature a real Christmas tree decorated in twinkling lights, copper animals and gold glass baubles.
There will also be that most popular of Victorian past times, afternoon tea, served on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the festive period at Mr Foggs, where guests can enjoy a delicate array of dainty sandwiches, cakes, pastries and petits-fours. Beautifully presented on traditional three-tiered stands and served on embossed fine bone china, there will also be Flowers of Liberty food products displayed on pewter platters and cake stands along the bar.
Liberty is so beautiful and I love the picture of all Mr Foggs artefacts and treasures Lucy x
